Large Fowl Standard Cochins

To put it lightly; these are some big birds. For years, my flock was a very diverse group of all breeds.

Like most who decide to start a backyard flock, our goal was to provide eggs to our family and friends, .

Over the years, we came to have certain favorites. This brings us to Sugar, a standard white cochin that I had for many years. She was my first momma hen to hatch chicks and she was an all around wonderful bird. We loved her feathered feet and over all fluffy look. She had such a wonderful demeanor that eventually I purchased Cochin hatching eggs from a reputable exhibition breeder and hatched my first quality LF Cochins. I haven't looked back. We adore this breed and hope to start entering shows with some of our new up and coming grow-outs.
